2015 High School Graduates

 

EasonCurtis D. Eason was born in Ahoskie, NC.  He is the son of Curtis D. Eason, Sr. and Edith L. Eason and the nephew of Chenetha Eason., Reginald Eason  and Theresa Eason.  His hobbies are basketball, music, art, video games, etc.  He is 2015 graduate of Cleveland High School.  His future goals are to one day be a physical therapist, doing sports medicine or joining the Navy.  Curtis’ favorite scriptures are Romans 1:16, 1 peter 5:7 and Isaiah 53:5.

 


KirbyLance Howard Kirby  is the son of William and Sharon Kirby.  He is the grandson of Shirley Perry.  On June 12, 2015, Lance graduated from Cleveland High School.  He plans to pursue a career in the United States Army.  This fall he plans to attend Johnston Community College and complete the Certified Nursing Assistant program (CNA). Additionally, Lance will be enlisting in the United States Army.  Lance has four brothers (Bill, Chris, Kyle & Sean) and three sisters (Natalie, Cassi & Shea) that he loves and admires.  His favorite scriptures are Judges 13-16 – The Story of Sampson.

 


Nicholson.pngGavanier Joshua Nicholson is the son of Kimtoine Nicholson and Belinda Bynum Nicholson.  He is the grandson of Carlton & Barbara Nicholson and Charles & Olivia Bynum.  Gavan is a graduate of Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School.  He is a member of JPG’s Youth Ushers’ Ministry, and an active volunteer with The Center for Volunteer Caregiving.  Gavan will attend Wake Technical Community College to obtain an Associates Degree in Engineering and further his studies with a concentration in Audio Engineering.  Once completed, he desires to relocate to a metropolitan area and pursue his career.  Gavan’s favorite scripture is Psalm 136:1 “Give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy endureth forever.”

 


ThomasCourtney B. Thomas is the daughter of Theodore & Barbara Thomas, the sister of Preston Thomas and the granddaughter of Johnnie R. Cooper and Sylvia Annette Sanders.  She is a 2015 Honors graduate of Cleveland High School.  In the fall, Courtney plans on attending North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University where she will major in psychology.  Her favorite scripture is Romans 12:9—”Love must be sincere.  Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.”

 


SuttonSaxena Alexius Sutton is the daughter of Sandra Sutton. She is a 2015 graduate of Cleveland High School in Clayton. In the fall she will be attending Fayetteville State University. Her favorite scripture is 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

2015 College Graduates

 

AtkinsonJasmine Atkinson is the daughter of Carla Washington, and the mother of Kyndall Atkinson. She received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Saint Augustine’s University May 16, 2015. After graduating she plans on attending North Carolina Central University to receive her Masters in Social Work and wants to pursue a career as a Licensed Social Worker, working with Child Protective Services. Her favorite quote is “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” – Malcolm X and her favorite scripture is “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding” Proverbs 3:5.


Quaneshia Dominque Arshay Clark is the daughter of Betina Clark-Smith, grandparents Leon & Shirley Sanders and Bobby Smith.

Vincent Ray Faison, Jr., the son of the late Vincent and Jennifer Faison, Sr., will graduate from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington’s Cameron School of Business with a Master 0f Science in Accountancy in June 2015. During his graduate studies, Vincent was a crew member at a Few Moves Moving Company and a Regional Sales Representative for Marketstar. In addition, Vincent played for the UNCW Rugby Club and competed in the 2015 National Championship in Denver, Colorado. The championship aired on ESPNU, and the team finished sixth in the nation for USA Rugby DII. Vincent has been offered several positions in his field, and in the near future he hopes to take the Certified Public Accountant exam in hopes of pursuing a professional career in public accounting as a staff auditor.


KingClaire King, is a 2015 Honors graduate of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor’s of Science in Community & Therapeutic Recreation with a concentration in Therapeutic Recreation. She is currently completing an internship in Marietta, GA at ManorCare Skilled Nursing/ Rehab facility with a Certified Recreation Therapist Specialist in hopes to get more fieldwork experience. Claire’s favorite scripture is 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind”.

 


Tre’ Quillan Ashaad Padgett, is the son of Mrs. Michelle Roberts(Ricky) and Mr. Antonio Padgett, Sr. and the grandson of Pastor and Mrs. Breeden.

 


RobinsonTilola L. M. Robinson a native of Garner, NC. She is married to Ryan Isaac Robinson and is the daughter of Dr. Eva Lane Mitchell and the late James Larry Mitchell. She is a 1993 graduate of Garner Sr High School, 1999 graduate of Winston-Salem State University, Winston-Salem, NC with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mathematics, a 2006 graduate from Strayer University with a Master’s of Education and in August 2014 graduated from Walden University with an Education Specialist Degree in Administrator Leadership.

Tilola currently works for the Wake County Public School System at Rolesville High School, Rolesville, NC, as a Mathematics Teacher. Her community involvement includes, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Chi Xi Zeta Chapter Clayton, NC; Clayton Branch of National Association of University Women; Woman’s Baptist Home and Foreign Missionary Convention, NC where she is the 4th Vice President; and the Raleigh/ Wake Alumni Chapter of Winston-Salem State University.  Tilola’s favorite scripture is Romans 8:28 “And we know all things work together for the good of them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”


SmithJanae A. Smith, is the daughter of Stephanie A. Smith and George L. Smith and granddaughter of Lena M. Smith and the late George Smith. Janae is a graduate of Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School, a 2012 graduate of NC A&T State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Journalism and Mass Communication (Electronic Media & Journalism) and a 2015 graduate of NC A&T State University with a Master’s in Adult Education. Janae plans pursue a career in secondary education and to further her education by earning a PhD in Adult Education. Janae favorite scripture is “And we know that all things work together for the good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose” Romans 8:28.
