The New Millennium has taught us that perseverance is the ability to turn stumbling blocks into stepping stones.
Those who stand tall in our presence appear to be of unusual height because, in most cases, they stand on the shoulders of giants who have preceded them.
The Johnston Piney Grove family has been blessed beyond measure and yet we must continue to humble ourselves before the presence of God that He might get the glory. We must decrease that He might increase. I am greatly heartened to see a church family excited and eager to develop a fellowship that is Christ centered, and marked by and noted for integrity.
Understanding that the Lord keeps a vigilant watch over His own, let us embrace the challenge before us so that we may effectively do His work – Preaching, Teaching and Healing.
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).
Once you are rightly related to God by salvation and sanctification, remember that wherever you are, you are put there by God, and by the reaction of your life on the circumstances around you, you will fulfill God’s purpose, as long as you keep in the Light as God is in the Light. Our motto should be, “We’ll go anywhere except backwards.”
