The ministry of Ushering is a vital part of our church ministry. Ushers represent the church in a very visible way, and help set the tone in preparation for the worship service, as well as assist with the smooth operation within the service.

The Young Adults provide ushering services on the first Sundays, Seniors provide ushering services on the second Sundays, Youth provide ushering services on the third Sundays and Males provide ushering services on the fourth Sundays of each month. The rotating system is used on the fifth Sundays

The Goal of the Usher Department

To make the members and visitors feel comfortable and lend spiritual dignity to the church services. Ushering is not just another job in the church, but rather one of the most important and rewarding services one can perform.

“For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness” (Psalms 84:10).

REGULAR EVENTS
Annual Usher’s Anniversary Observance the last Sunday in March during 10:00 a.m. worship service.

PARTICIPATION
One can participate by contacting the President (Sheila Foreman).

MEETING TIMES The meetings consist of training and discussing vital information regarding ushering. Training is a very important part of our ministry. To be a good usher, you must be trained. A few teaching techniques include knowing your church’s program, being polite, courteous and alert.
